Principal Pipeline TD

About the role

Frontier has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Pipeline TD to join our team as we look to expand and develop on our strong visual credentials built up from Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster and begin an exciting set of new AAA titles. We’re looking for someone with strong shader and render programming skills as well as a solid visual eye. The right candidate will be able to work seamlessly between our talented art teams, including dedicated technical artists, as well as with the rendering programmers to deliver jaw dropping, visually believable worlds. Previous experience in similar roles is essential, you’ll be charged with helping realise the art director’s vision using your skills and our ground breaking COBRA engine.  The role is highly autonomous and we want candidates with a voice, who can guide the visual harmony of our titles whilst ensuring performant results.

Frontier’s in-house Cobra engine is highly adaptable and we’re looking for people with a passion to develop and create the pipelines and results that back up the calibre of titles we work on. We have a strong internal materials team creating substance based materials, it will be your job to bring these to life as well as dealing with technologies like HDR, atmospherics, lighting, tone-mapping and other visual technologies. This is one of the key roles within our team and we’re looking for candidates whose aspirations match. If you believe you have the skills and passion for this role we would love to hear from you!

What we can offer

In return we offer a reward package to attract the best including a competitive salary, private healthcare for you and your family, and a range of flexible benefits from which you can select to suit your needs. You’ll share in the success that you help to deliver through a generous company bonus scheme and share scheme participation, including a significant equity grant (through a Long Term Incentive Plan). If required, we can also offer support with re-relocation including a minimum relocation allowance of £5000 (tax free). Check out the benefits section on our website for further details on our total reward package.

Frontier is a studio with a long, successful and varied history of AAA development and this is an exciting time to join us, following our move to self publishing, and the breakout successes of Elite: Dangerous and Planet Coaster. We're expecting Jurassic World: Evolution to continue our story; it's already one of the most anticipated games of 2018. You’ll have the opportunity to work across these existing titles and other exciting unannounced projects. If that sounds interesting, why not contact us for an informal chat or apply on-line?
