It is crucial our Creative Services team work closely and in uniform to be able to succeed. With the growth of Frontier Foundry and our internal projects there is a lot of scope for you to work on a diverse range of games from creating the key art for our new Jurassic World Evolution 2 title, to recording the audio for our newest Planet Zoo DLC announcement trailer. Your role will rarely be the same each day, and you will have the opportunity to work on some fantastic projects during your time here at Frontier.

Top Tips

  • Have a finished portfolio or reel that really shows your quality. With your portfolio/reel it’s as important for us to see the final piece as it is to understand the development of that piece and process you’ve used.

  • We are looking for quality over quantity, so only show the pieces of work that best represent your current level – pieces which are finished and that you are proud of.

  • Let your personality come through in your cover letter and interview, let us know who you are as a person. Give an insight into how you tackle creative problems and your process for developing solutions.

    Meet the team

    Melissa

    Graduate Capture Artist

Hello there! My name is Mel and I started as a Graduate Capture Artist here at Frontier in May 2021. My role involves assisting on the making of trailers and other marketable assets for the Frontier game portfolio, as well as Frontier Foundry games. To do this, I capture in-game screenshots and record cinematic or gameplay shots, which are then provided to our video editing and product teams.

I work alongside producers, video editors, community managers, product managers and developers while working on various tasks at hand. I thoroughly enjoy the team effort that goes into making a game come alive, it’s a great opportunity to obtain a holistic understanding of the development process.  I believe it is so important to understand the essence of each game to ensure the most authentic representation is achieved.

It’s been a dream come true to work within this amazing industry and to learn from highly skilled colleagues at the company. I have had the privilege of working on favourable titles such as Planet Zoo, Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution 2. I have been an avid gamer my whole life and I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow here at Frontier.

    Taylea

    Graphic Designer

Hey! I’m Taylea and I’m a Graphic Designer in the Creative Services Team. I’ve worked at Frontier for almost three years now, and have watched the design team grow significantly! Creative Services as a whole get the chance to work on multiple game titles simultaneously, as well as bigger on-going projects. The design team’s role is to create the branding and marketing assets for both print and online. This would include an entire suite of branding from the game logo, to merch, editorial spreads and game exhibitions, as well as box art and store assets for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and Steam. We have also had the chance to create in-game banner ads (Elite Dangerous: Odyssey) and other achievements!

I’ve had the opportunity to work with all four Frontier IP titles, as well as Frontier Foundry’s first-ever third party published game, Struggling. This project was so much fun and allowed me to put my illustration skills to the test by hand-drawing the logo; in keeping with the overall illustrative style of the game. Most recently, I’ve been working on Jurassic World Evolution 2, alongside producers, product managers, video artists, developers and game directors to name a few. This has been a huge project to collaborate on and watch come to life.

Video games have always been a huge part of my life, and I feel so fortunate to work within this creative industry, surrounded by such incredible talent! This is my first job which feels like a career; somewhere I still have the chance to learn and grow both my skills and my confidence.
